Sturgill Simpson made his outstanding breakthrough in 2013 when he released his debut album, High Top Mountain. But upon the release of his sophomore effort, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, Simpson quickly soared to number 3 on the country charts and broke into the mainstream category which is the Billboard 200.
