Tyler Childers

Ameris Bank Amphitheatre

From his humble beginnings in his home state, Kentucky, Childers became one of the sought-after singer-songwriters — thanks to his incredible songs, which showed his exceptional talent in songwriting, distinct voice, and guitar-slinging skills. He proved he is not only a one-hit wonder by producing one hit song after another. He continuously shows his raw and authentic approach to country music, which sets him apart from many of his country counterparts.

Childers got his first taste of mainstream success when his sophomore album, "Purgatory," gained traction among country and Americana fans. The album entered Rolling Stone's "Top 40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2017." This nod to his artistry foreshadowed the brilliant career of the then 26-year-old budding singer-songwriter.

Fast-forward to 2023, Tyler Childers has now released six studio albums. The latest of which are 2022's "Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven" and 2023's "Rustin' in the Rain." The former peaked 8th on the US Billboard 200 and reached number 3 in the US Top Country Albums. The album is a gospel music project featuring Childers' touring band, The Food Stamps. With songs like "The Old Country Church," "Purgatory," and the carrier single "Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?" the album featured themes that only a few singers will tackle.

Childers' latest project, "Rustin' in the Rain," is also a masterpiece in its own right. Along with his band, The Food Stamps, Childers surprised his fans by incorporating modern country sounds with outlaw country. Perhaps the most notable in the album is his song "In Your Love," whose music video depicted the romance of two coal miners in the 1950s. It's no gimmick, though, as the other songs are equally incredible. The title track "Rustin' in the Rain," as well as "Help Me Make It Through the Night" and "Luke," are some of the fan favorites. Released on September 8, 2023, the album reached the charts in different territories. It peaked at number 4 in US Top Country Albums, second in US Folk Albums, and 10th in the US Billboard 200. It also reached the charts in Australia, Canada, The UK, and other territories.

This 2024, Tyler Childers will be embarking on another tour once again. Dubbed "Mule Pull '24 Tour," the series of concerts will kick off on February 15 in Dublin and will end in New York on May 29, 2024. Aside from England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway, Childers will make a few stops in the US and Canada. The Kentucky songwriter will headline arenas on a North American run in support of "Rustin' in the Rain." Catch him and his band, The Food Stamps, this June 7 at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Georgia. The concert is the first of the two-night show featuring the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Valerie June and the rising folksinger Willi Carlisle.

Tickets for the show are now on sale, and you can get yours here by hitting the "Get Tickets" link.
